Samba Squad returns to the Lula with new songs, new moves, and new grooves, featuring an innovative blend of Afro-Cuban meets Afro-Brazil. We’re stepping it up. We want you there to step to the beats. Soaring vocals and our trademark heavy grooves. Keeping it real: only $10 at the door. Be part of this high-energy performance and party. Doors open 9PM. Showtime: 10PM. David Suzuki and his Foundation will lead a parade from Christie Pits to Trinity Bellwoods Park. Samba Squad will join in at Fred Hamilton Park and lead hundreds of revellers south to Trinity Bellwoods Park. This is the second annual Homegrown Park Crawl and part of the Homegrown National Park Project. Samba Squad leads a raucous back-to-school group of students through its best dance moves. Come enjoy a beautiful stroll, meet authors, buy books and dance to Samba Squad’s beats. Samba Squad will play at the event City Cider from noon -1PM. The event is sponsored by the organization “Not Far From The Tree”, which picks city fruit and shares it with the needy. This event goes from noon until 5 PM. Admission is $10, ages 12 and under free, $8 in advance. For more information Street Festival for the Arts in East Toronto.
